A performance of " I Dreamed a Dream" - Aretha Franklin- (from les Misérables) and a remake of a 1953 classic ( "Cry me a River") by a 47-year young Scottish woman on BGT were enough to make poeple worldwide reconsider their conception of beauty and art ; and to put to test mediatised, hollywoodian images of what is a star. Another " diva aux pieds nus" or an anti-star? What does it matter? To me, who has a foreign musical ear and a totally different artistic sensibility, she sounds like the real thing.
